Residential — Bangsar Condominium
The Situation
A 1,200 sq ft condominium purchased as an investment and then retained by the owner as a primary residence. The original developer finishes were plain and the layout, while functional, felt disconnected across rooms. The client wanted the space to feel intentional without major structural changes.
What We Did
Initial Space Reading followed by full Design Composition. Focus on material continuity — a limited palette of wood tones, warm plaster, and woven textures used throughout to connect the rooms visually. Lighting scheme revised significantly to shift from bright overhead to layered ambient sources.
Outcomes
- Renovation completed within agreed 8-week timeline
- No structural changes — full transformation through finishes
- Client retained full design book for future reference

Hospitality — Boutique Guesthouse, Kuala Lumpur
The Situation
A four-room guesthouse in an older KL shophouse. The owner wanted an atmosphere that felt distinct from the large hotel chains nearby — personal, quiet, with a sense that someone had thought carefully about each detail. Budget was fixed and modest for a commercial project.
What We Did
Full Composition and Realization engagement. Worked with the building's original character — retained exposed brick in two rooms, sourced local artisan textiles, and developed a quiet colour direction using the existing wall tones as a starting point rather than covering them.
Outcomes
- Completed within 11 weeks, within original budget
- Organic materials sourced from Malaysian craftspeople
- Guesthouse achieved above 90% occupancy in first quarter
